01Which part of Maui is right for me?+
It depends on how you want to live. South Maui is dry and sunny, Upcountry runs cool and green, the North Shore gets the surf and the rain, West Maui has the calmest water. We talk it through, then drive it.
02Fee simple or leasehold?+
Fee simple means you own the land and the home outright. Leasehold means you own the home for the term of a land lease, with rent paid to the landowner. Most Maui homes are fee simple and a few condos are leasehold. It changes the price and the financing, so we check it first.
03Can I buy from the mainland?+
Yes. Video walkthroughs, remote signing and Hawaiʻi escrow make it routine. Many of my clients close without a second trip.
04Can I rent it out when I'm away?+
Only in certain zones. Maui County limits short-term vacation rentals to specific areas and properties, and the rules keep changing. We confirm what a property allows before you make an offer.
05How do we start?+
